I will certainly try this with smaller pieces... I'm wondering what suggestions you might have for a bigger quilted piece. I want to frame it on top of a regular frame with the back of the quilt resting on a full sized matt and then sewn down around the edge so that the front part of the frame shows... the piece is roughly 3'X4'. I get wood, then I can repaint them to match my pieces. If the fiber piece is of any value and longevity is desired, use only an acid free mat for matting or mounting. Also, an acid free artist's tape rather than masking tape will further protect the art work. <br /><br />There are currently quality materials readily available.
