ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that you lost your mother ... drink a hot cup of tea and remember some of the good memories and let that help warm your soul.
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI always love seeing your work and the beautiful way you use stitches.
My mom has been gone a while, but I still miss being able to talk to her.
Debbie
Susan,
ReplyDeleteYou don't need the phone any longer!!! She hears you all the time now, and knew your good news before you did. She is nearby, you just need to speak heart to heart. It gets easier and more natural... really it does.
Congratulations! My 2011 copy of the Quilting Arts Calendar arrived today.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I just received my 2011 Quilting Arts Calendar today.
ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful honor to be chosen again for the calendar. But with the talent you have I don't see how they could not include you.
I'm so sorry for your loss. My mom passed away 10 years ago and I still want to pick up the phone and talk to her. Time does help make the pain more bearable but there still is that longing in my heart to sit and talk, hold her hand and just look at her. As I've told many people, losing her was like I became an orphan. I do know that because of Jesus, I will see her again one day. I feel her presence so many times when I am doing the things that she loved to do. Know your Mother is there with you because she lives in your heart. It will get easier with time.
I'm certain your Mom is smiling.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Gerry
I am so sorry about your mom, she would be so proud. Congrats on the calendar. Your work always inspires me to keep trying to get better.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! They were right to choose your work! I would like to tell you what I read last week. A mother lost her mother and everyone was sad about it, the missed her a lot. Then her first dieingday came. The mother didn't want to get the children sad, because they were always happy when their grandmother was around. You know what she did? She baked a cake, poured out some drinks and said: this day is the day that grandma left us, let's congratulate ourselves for having had such a wonderful grandma! And they do this every year, the kids celebrate their grandma this way, and keep a happy memory of her. Isn't that lovely?
ReplyDeleteSusan - I adore your work and have started watching your Machine Stitching DVD thank you for sharing your talents. I always get the QA Calendar and look forward to each month. Congratulations for having your work selected once again it is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for the loss of your Mother. May you find comfort and peace.
