Aurifil’s free projects for February

Aurifil's Designer of the Month for February is Linda lum deBono. Linda has two fun and quick projects to share with you, the Love Pillow (above) and Love Card Holder (below).

Starting in March, Aurifil will pick one random winner each month who has made one of the designer projects; she or he will receive a special Aurifil thread prize. You can make any of the designer projects (and we hope you make them all!) To participate, simply share your photos at our Flickr Folder... we can't WAIT to see what you do.

    I think her Letter holder is sweet! I was thinking it would be nice to keep in hanging around for note pad and pen and my grocery list even after Valentines day is over with. It is just sweet!

    I think both projects are fast and fun! I really like the font on the letter holder. I agree, you could keep it busy all year round with projects and notes from your kids. Thanks for the chance at some yummy thread.

    I love making little pillows, fun and quick to do.
    I was thinking of filling a basket with hearts, great use of scraps too.

    The wonky heart pillow is so cheerful. The letter holder would be great for kids to use for their valentines for school. Would enjoy the thread for sure.

    I think the letter holder would be nice on every one's chair around the table. We could all put home made cards in each other's holders! In fact, I think that's what I'll do this year. Great idea, Linda!

    The little pillow is so sweet....I'm thinking gifts for my grandkids! The card holder is very cute and useful! Love them both! Thanks for the chance to win some awesome thread. I've only tried the 50 weight...would love to try more.

    I love the Love letter holder. It would be great to store children's art, Christmas cards, notes or reminders or small gifts for someone to find when they get home, small hand work projects ready to go.... The idea would work for so many things!

    Linda is a wonderfully inspirational quilter with adorable children. I am so pleased that she is the Aurifil's Designer of the Month for February. I haven't ever tried their thread and would love to. To win a pack of minispools would be fantastic! ~Kathleen

    I wish I had time to do your leaf quilt! It looks like so much fun! The letter holder is sweet too, if we only did not have roundbacked chairs, lol!

    The first thing that came to my mind was that the letter holder would be great for a teacher to have! I imagined all the little kids, putting their Valentine cards in it.

    The pattern would also be great to make for a December project. I would fill it with holiday cards too! :)

    Wonderful give-a-way! I only recently discovered Aurifil threads. So far, I like them a LOT!

    The letter holder has infinite possibilities. I thought the pillow was just a cute little doodad until further "clicking" brought up a photo of someone holding it --and it's not tiny.
