Here’s the little piece I made for ToteTuesday (see my previous post), all finished. It is 8-1/2 x 8-1/4". It’s getting a label and going in the mail tomorrow. It will be auctioned off on Feb. 23!
I love it! What a difference from the first one. Will you be doing tutorials for things like this in the magazine? Our store didn't have it yet, can't wait to see it.
Thanks, Debbie! It should be in the stores soon. It is out to subscribers; I got my copy about a week ago. The Quilting Arts articles focus on thread sketching (thread work on the surface of the quilt only), and this is actually just quilted. You can see the two samples from the first installment, which focuses on adding color with thread, in previous blog posts. They are "Postcard from Glacier National Park: Avalanche Lake" and "A New Box" (the crayons).
Your rose is soooooo beautiful! Your work is all fantastic. Thank you for sharing.

ReplyDeleteI've been enjoying following along as you have been creating all your flower pieces.
