My mother died in January and this has been a tough year. I have made it through because of my wonderful family and friends, my work and my art, and you, my faithful blog readers, many of whom have written me sweet notes of encouragement and support. I am very grateful. Thank you!
Starting tomorrow, I’m going to post give-aways every few days until everything I brought back from International Quilt Market and International Quilt Festival in Houston to give away is shipped off! It’s my way of showing you how thankful I am. I hope to introduce you to some new products and designers that you might not know about. So stay tuned!
I look forward to seeing more from market, so many wonderful things this year. I am working on gifts and things for friends, but I plan on spending the next year on new projects and art quilting.

Love that you are sharing the love Susan!
ReplyDeleteSusan, it was so good to meet you in Houston and I must say it was like meeting an old friend. You are just as I imagined--sincere, upbeat and positive. I have thought of you often since your Mom passed away. I still miss my Mom every day and thank her constantly for her creative influence and I feel you had a similar relationship. Her spirit will always be with you!
ReplyDeleteYou are generous!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to remember your mom too.
ReplyDeleteSounds exciting.. I can't wait to hear about some of the new and exciting things that are coming up.
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting time to discover your blog! Some day I hope to make it to Houston myself. :)

I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I lost my mom three years ago and my sister two years ago and it is still hard. I try to be thankful every day for the time I did have with them. You are sweet to share your treasures from market.
ReplyDeleteI know you honor your mother by the beautiful art you create. And we all enjoy being a part of your artistic journey. Thank you for your inspiration, Susan. XO
ReplyDeleteSusan, your mother must have been a wonderful lady because she created you... also a wonderful lady. You are her legacy. Through the daughters, mothers live on forever and ever.
ReplyDeleteWarmest hugs from Mary
Susan, I have enjoyed your posts from Houston--next best thing to being there. I sympathize with you in the loss of your mother. I have lost an aunt, sister, bro-in-law, and husband this year, so my art quilting is therapy as I carve out a new existence.
