Croton stitched

Here is the Croton piece quilted. I decided against thread sketching, since there is already so much detail in this piece from the paint. I like the lines added by the thread. I only used three colors: black (on the top leaf), dark green (on the bottom leaf) and orange (on the vein of the bottom leaf).

  2. It's just beautiful Susan. I really love how the stitching adds to the realistic image. It doesn't even have to be a specific design, just a wiggly line of stitching, but it adds so much.

    Cheers,

    Leah

  3. In Hawaii, crotons are everywhere, adding color to a person's backyard or used as part of a landscaping design at a resort complex. I've seen entire hedges of them; just gorgeous! (Love yours, too!)
