Another one quilted

I am on a roll … Here is “Painted Sunflower” quilted and done! One more to go and I’ll have all three little samples for my Wholecloth Painting class finished.

  1. Maybe I missed it, but I was wondering how big your sample pieces are.

The threadwork on the yellow one is just beautiful -- I especially like the pattern you did in the center.

  2. Of course you work is always beautiful and so are these. I'm just 'catching' up so I got to see all 3 finished! Just beautiful and your choice of not doing lots of thread work is another great example!

  3. Love it, really think the quilting made a difference on this one, it needed that texture and depth.
    Very nice!

  5. Karen, these are all little, smaller than 9x12. I'd love to do them BIG someday.

  6. Thanks, Susan. 9 X 12 is a good sample size -- illustrates well, but not daunting to complete --- I bet a larger size would be a lot of fun to do and result in a really amazing piece! Because they're pretty cool in the small size.

They'd look good hanging in my office... hmmm... better get busy...thanks...

  8. I come to quilting from an art background, without any experience in sewing... it's so educational for me to see the detail of your stitching choices, thanks for sharing!
