Magical Mistletoe

My “Magical Mistletoe” project is featured in the soon-to-be-released issue of Quilting Arts Gifts 2010! It looks like the real thing, but it’s made from fabric, fusible stabilizer, thread, silk ribbon, perle cotton and felted wool balls.

The special issue is packed with great ideas for wonderful, whimsical hand-made gifts for the holidays. It is available for pre-order now, and will be on newsstands in September.

Looking for the little felted wool balls to make this project? Ask at your local quilt or craft shop, or shop online at Handbehg Felts.

  3. I can't wait to get my copy! Doesn't the Quilter's Loft carry those wool balls? Might want to give them the heads up that many of us might be in to get white ones!

  4. Deb, Quilters Loft carries some colors, the last time I looked there. If you can't find them locally, check out Handbehg Felts online; I added the info to my post after your comment.

  5. That looks like a fun issue to get, I will have to look for it, when it comes out. I just washed five loads of wool, so i have plenty to make lots of gifts with.

  8. Hi Susan,
I have refrained from leaving comments lately because I feel like a stalker. I really like your work and my enthuasiam gets the best of me sometimes. The Magical Mistletoe is beautiful.

Even though it may seem corny or odd that I say I'm glad I can see when I look at your work....I honestly mean it from my heart.

    Smiles,
    Kelly
