I realized that I forgot to post a photo of my students from March 28, so here it is. More great work. And here is a photo of today's talented students:

It was so much fun to finally meet two women who follow my blog and are friends on Facebook, Marijke Donathan-Hoppen:

And Marjolijn van Wijk:

I am teaching my last class I Groningen tomorrow, and then will be teaching two days in Bunschoten. After that, I will have a few days to sight-see before returning home.

Gouda and de Zaansche Molen - Day 7

This morning, Lya and drove to Gouda, famous for its cheese, candles, and the spectacular stained glass windows in de Sint Janskerk ( St. John's church). It's late, so I don't have much time to write, but I will share with you some of my photos.

I look like a giant standing next to this tiny vintage Fiat!

Wooden shoes just a tad big for me. At de Zaansche Molen.

Gears inside a windmill. We climbed all the way up on tiny, narrow wooden stairs, and felt the amazing rush of air each time the enormous arms went past.

The museum on the history of Verkade, a Dutch biscuit and chocolate company.

Amsterdam, Day 6

Amsterdam! It is an amazing city: Canals, gates, bikes, prostitutes, people of every race and every nationality speaking every kind of language, cobblestones, one of the world's best concert halls, famous paintings, houseboats, the smell of pot, beautiful boutiques, flowers, funny souvenirs, a palace, and swans... That's a lot to experience in one day!
