Today we set up for the 9th annual Barnful of Quilts at the beautiful Fox Family Farm in Waxhaw, NC.
Fiber Art Options, a group of fiber artists from the Charlotte area, are the featured artists this year. Tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 8 – from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. – is the big day. Come and see us! The event benefits Samaritan’s Purse, so your admission ($5; or free to those older than 80 or younger than 18) goes to a great cause. You can see photos of previous years, and get directions on the
Fox Family Farm website.
Here are a few photos from today; I’ll post more on Sunday.

Only a few of the vendors had set up before we were done. Tomorrow, it will be packed to the gills with yarn, baskets, quilts, dolls, jewelry, weaving, and lots of other fiber-related crafts. I can’t wait to see it all! Here’s a peek:
What a wonderful place for the show and the curves of the building lend to the artistic theme.

What a beautiful venue - and support to a great cause. How I wish I lived close enough to attend!
ReplyDeleteAs always, Barnful of Quilts was fantastic! I can hardly wait for next year. It's always great to see dear friends (just like you!) and meeting and making new friends each year. Thanks Susan, you always do a fabulous job of documenting the event.
