Therapeutic dishcloths

Throughout this year, I have been busy knitting what I call “therapeutic dishcloths.” I have found simple knitting and embroidery projects to be a very good way to de-stress. It seems as though if I keep my hands busy, my mind can’t wander down the dangerous alleys of “what if…” that make my heart start to race, my lungs start to hyperventilate, and my levels of adrenaline and cortisol to surge.

Here are some of the results of my labor. Besides being useful, they are quite pretty, I think! Ah, I feel more relaxed already.

  1. They are beautiful. Something I think I am considering doing.... if/when I have any downtime. Still unpacking and settling in and a ways to go yet.

  2. Now that we've seen your therapeutic dishcloths, we need the pattern. That are so pretty and cheerful ... what every kitchen needs! I love the idea of having a simple project to keep my hand busy. Being idle only bring trouble. ;-)

  3. Now that we've seen your therapeutic dishcloths, we want the pattern. ;-) I love your idea of having simmple projects to pick up when your hands are idle. I'm always happy when my hands are busy, and those dishcloths are so pretty and cheerful! Perfect for anyone's kitchen.

  4. What a wonderful way to cope! Love those dishcloths too. At one time in my life, I think I made over 50 of them...LOL.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

  5. Yep, I also have a stack of these in my knitting basket! I love to work on them while watching TV, riding in the car or when I want to make something but can't figure out what I want to make (or do) your yarn colors!

I love it when you leave comments… Otherwise I feel like I'm just talking to myself! If you have time to write, please let me know what you think.
