June/July Quilting Arts hitting mailboxes now!

The June/July 2010 issue of Quilting Arts magazine is hitting mailboxes now! This issue contains the most recent installment in my series on thread sketching, with my portrait of our world famous cat, Max.

If you don't subscribe, look for it at your local newsstand or bookstores. Or order at the Interweave online store. The price is $7.99.

  1. Congratulations with this fabulous publication!!
Your quilted Max is so realistic: my own cat Friso, sitting on my desk in front of the PC, looked at the quilt-Max on the PC-screen and gave him a kind of hug! Friso didn't see it is an embroidered cat, which I can imagine very well!

  2. Oh, that is so funny, Lya! I used to have a screen saver that was fish in an aquarium, and my cats loved it. They used to come up and bat at the screen as the fish swam past. And I can get them to chase my cursor if I move it around on the screen.

Even though my pets drive me crazy a lot, I can't imagine living without them.

  3. I love that magazine and wish I could afford to get it, but watching my budget this year. I did get two books from the library on thread painting and one has cat designs in it, so hopefully I can learn to do some.

I love it when you leave comments… Otherwise I feel like I'm just talking to myself! If you have time to write, please let me know what you think.
